Restaurant Review – Q2 Thai

Living in Manhattan allows me the opportunity to eat at great restaurants no matter what my budget is when dining out.

One of my go-to restaurants featuring a reduced price lunch special menu is Q2 Thai.

Q2 Thai is located in the cluttered Thai restaurant area of Hell’s Kitchen.

The decor is pretty funky with metallic chairs and neon pink lights but I’m not going there for the decor.

At only $7.95, the lunch special is a great, filling meal.

It includes a soda, salad, one of their various appetizers — from chef’s daily soup to my favorite, the light steamed vegetable dumplings — and a main course.

I always get the Crispy Tilapia topped with sweet chili sauce and mixed veggies. I’m not sure why they say it has a sweet chili sauce. The chili sauce definitely has a kick to it, one I really love.

While my guy has tried several things from the Q2 Thai lunch special menu; red curry or basil beef seem to be his main go to off the menu.

The last time we went, he got the spicy fresh basil beef stir-fried with onions, chili, string beans and fresh basil.

If you happen to be in Hell’s Kitchen, stop by Q2 Thai for lunch. It opens at 11:30 and is located on 788 Ninth Avenue bet. 52nd & 53rd Street.
